APC Presidential Rally Ends Abruptly In Bauchi… Party Promises To Investigate ‘Technical Glitch’

APC Presidential Rally Ends Abruptly In Bauchi… Party Promises To Investigate ‘Technical Glitch’

The presidential campaign rally held by the ruling APC in Bauchi state on Monday did not end on a positive note.

An unruly crowd had not only forced the rally to come to an abrupt end but had also made it impossible for President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola  Tinubu to give speeches.

The presidential rally was held at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium,  Bauchi and the APC bigwigs in attendance had to hurriedly leave the venue.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned   trouble had begun when the microphone suddenly cut out as the Director General of the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Council, Governor Simon Lalong, was addressing the crowd of party supporters and members.

Though this was quickly fixed, and they continued with the programme while the president and Tinubu  had also jointly presented the party’s flag to the Bauchi State gubernatorial candidate, retired Air Marshall Sadique Baba Abubakar, Tinubu  was however making dance moves on the podium and was being cheered by the crowd when the microphone cut out for the second time.

The crowd became unruly, and the programme came to a natural end.

Bauchi State  APC had since apologized to supporters and members while promising to investigate the technical glitch.

The state APC  Publicity Secretary , Mr Adamu Jallah said those who made arrangements for the sound system were  from Abuja and were hired by the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).

‘We have achieved our aim; our supporters came out in large numbers. Mr President saw them and knows that Bauchi remains one of  our party’s strongholds in the country. We will give the presidential candidate the needed number of votes in millions’ he said.

APC gubernatorial candidate,  retired Air Marshall Sadique Baba Abubakar  had earlier in his speech, promised to address the issue of out-of-school children if elected  as governor .

He equally promised to empower small and medium business owners in order to tackle the rising poverty in the state.

‘The rising social vices need a more robust and genuine empowerment programme that will liberate our teeming unemployed young people and women and also end poverty and insecurity in Bauchi’ he submitted-  Team@orientactualmags.com
