Ebenezer Babatope Joins Octogenarian Club …He Stands For Integrity, Probity , Accountability-President Buhari 

President Muhammadu Buhari led birthday wishes for Chief Ebenezer Babatope as he joins the octogenarian club on Thursday.

Babatope, who is a prominent Nigerian politician, was born on January 26, 1943, and he turned 80 on  Thursday, 26 January 2023

.

A one-time Minister of Transport, Babatope , an indigene of Ilesha , Osun state, had for years now gotten recognized as a political bigwig in the country.

He however had his heyday  during the second republic while serving as National Director of Organization of the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) precisely between  1978 and 1983.

He was a force to reckon with in the UPN because party supremacy and party discipline had then reigned supreme.

Team@orientactualmags.com  learned President Muhammadu Buhari  had since  sent a message of congratulations  to Chief Ebenezer Babatope on his 80th birthday noting that he had devoted his public life to pursuing the good of the country, starting out early as  a pro-democracy activist, and serving as Director of Organization of the Unity Party of Nigeria in the Second Republic. 

The President acknowledged the zeal and wisdom of Chief Babatope in advocating strong political institutions, unity of the country and good governance, using his experience to counsel leaders at the state and national levels.

He praised Babatope’s  fearlessness in telling the truth to leaders, and standing for integrity, probity and accountability in public office. 

President Buhari prayed for more strength and good health for Chief Babatope and his family.

 Governor Ademola Adeleke has also  rejoiced with  Chief Ebenezer Babatope on the occasion of his 80th birthday.

Governor Adeleke in a congratulatory message he personally signed which was made available to Team@orientactualmags.com described Chief Babatope as a treasure, not only to the Osun people, but the whole of humanity going by his impacts and contributions.

‘Chief Babatope’s birthday is a moment of celebration, first for the grace of God in his life, and more, for the immense values he has added to innumerable lives through service.

As a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Chief Babatope left an indelible imprints with his sterling performance, and as an elder statesman, he has  continued to offer meaningful contributions to the progress of Osun state and Nigeria as a whole.

On this auspicious occasion of his 80th birthday, I join family, friends and associates in celebrating Chief Babatope and extolling  his virtue as a leader par excellence.
