A young Kwaran, Aliyu Musa, who built an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), which is also called drone, has visited Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq at the Government House, Ilorin..
The governor’s media team noted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com that Abdulrazaq’s Special Assistant on Creative Industries, Abdulgafar Ahmed (Cute Abiola) also joined the governor in hosting Musa.
Musa, a high school graduate, applied his skill set and resources at his disposal to build drones.
He had earlier met with Cute Abiola at the Kwara State Stadium, Ilorin, flying the two drones that he had built while the governor’s aide and passersby watched in admiration..
Musa was commended for his efforts and for putting his talents to good use during his visit to the Governor.
‘What you have done is very commendable. Our administration recognizes young people like you who make good use of their skills. That is why we have continued to invest heavily in supporting young people in the state.
Most of our projects and policies are targeted at the young people. We want to add value to their lives so that they can contribute to state and national development. We are building the Innovation Hub, Visual Arts Centre, Sugar Film Studio. All these are investments for the young people. We will continue to provide the enabling environment and right incentives for our young people to thrive in technology, entrepreneurship, education, and others’ the Governor said.
AbdulRazaq has also promised to sponsor Musa’s education in order to hone his skills.
He would also be supported to secure the required license that will aid his talents.
The Governor had similarly supported some young Kwarans who built and designed a plane in the past- Team@orientactualmags.com
