Accusing Me Of Pursuing Nupe Agenda Outrageous, Divisive… Abdulrazaq’s Gov Of The Year Award Fraudulent, Unmerited -Yaman 

Kwara state PDP gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji Shuaibu Yaman Abdullahi, has described honouring Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq with  Vanguard Newspaper’s 2022 Governor of The Year award for  ‘completing Idiagbon flyover construction project’ in Tanke , Ilorin  as fraudulent and irresponsible.

His Special Adviser on Media and Strategy,  Alhaji Abdulwahab Oba in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com  described the award as an affront to the sensibilities of Kwarans knowing full well that what the statement called poor construction project is yet to be completed. 

‘It’s also on record that AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has not only refused to be open and transparent in respect of the award of the contract for the construction of the flyover project but has also refused to allow its inspection by the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN)’ he said. 

The PDP gubernatorial candidate said the only awards deserved by the governor are ‘grade one awards in profligacy, inefficiency and unjustifiable debt profile’.

Alh. Yaman has also called on Governor Abdulrazaq to address Kwarans on the allegations that he is building a refinery in Cote d’Ivoire allegedly using   resources belonging to the state and trying to take another loan from the French government. 

The gubernatorial hopeful told Governor AbdulRahman to know that if God  could make him  the governor from a humble background, no amount of extravagance, intimidation of traditional rulers and harassment of civil servants can assure him an undeserved second term . 

Alh. Yaman  also denied allegations of having interest in excising Nupeland from Kwara to Niger state, describing the allegations as outrageous, provocative and divisive.  

He accused Governor AbdulRahman of attempting to derail established cordial relationships between ethnic components of the state for selfish reasons. 

‘I strongly advise the governor and his handlers to desist from incendiary rhetoric and focus on providing verifiable dividends of democracy and good governance to the people’  Yaman said- Team@orientactualmags.com
