Ahead of the 2023 gubernatorial election in Kwara state, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who is the APC guber candidate, has been told to stop fanning the embers of hatred and discord , shun desperation to secure a second term and promote issue-based campaign.
PDP gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji Shuaib Abdulahi Yaman’s Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Alhaji Wahab noted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Sunday that he gave this advice in reaction to the video clip that had the governor castigating the former administration in the state in respect of the 2018 Offa robbery, a matter that is still sub judice.
He noted that Governor Abdulrazaq had in recent times freely engaged in hate speeches.
“How can a governor, who is supposed to be the chief security officer of his state, keep making careless, unguarded and intellectually illogical statements on a case before the court? .
Kwarans, and indeed, the people of Offa, know the true story about the Offa robbery, and that was why every attempt to robe innocent people into this dastardly act has failed’ he said.
Oba asked the governor to address Kwarans on the allegations that he had allegedly used resources belonging to the state to build a refinery in Cote D’Ivoire and also acquire mansions in the United States.
‘We call on AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to tell Kwarans what has happened to the N17.9b he claimed to have kept in a financial institution and the N18.6b infrastructure support grant from the federal government, even in the face of an unprecedented N109.55bn and $45.94m debt profile’ he queried.
The PDP guber candidate’s aide advised the governor to address Kwarans on what his administration has done ‘to ameliorate the financial trauma the people are going through’, beyond issuing a vague statement after what he called a belated meeting with the Central Bank officials- Team@orientactualmags.com
