2023 Census: Gov Bagudu Attends Closing Ceremony Of NPC Training Programme In Birni Kebbi

Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi state has urged facilitators and all  Adhoc Staff of the National Population Commission (NPC) to ensure a reliable and credible Census that would be acceptable to all Nigerians.

Bagudu’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yahaya Sarki noted in a statement made available to  Team@orientactualmags.com  that the governor said this on Wednesday  during the closing Ceremony of the Ten- day Training  held   for Facilitators and Special Workforce  by the Commission which was  held at Atiku Bagudu Junior Girls Secondary School, Birnin Kebbi.

Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu commended the Federal Commissioner, National Population Commission,  Kebbi state, Dr. Haliru Bala Jikandaudu and officials of the commission for ensuring a smooth and successful conduct of the training while urging the Adhoc staff to put their professionalism and expertise into use and  make the forthcoming population and housing census a success.

‘ You must be commended for engaging professionals from the Universities and Polytechnics comprising computer scientists, veterinary doctors, social scientists and professors of mathematics for the training programme’ he said.

The approval by President Muhammadu Buhari for the conduct of the National Head count scheduled to hold between March and April this year would according to him  go a long way in ensuring unity and tolerance among Nigerians irrespective of ethnic groups.

He thanked the university Dons for accepting to partake in the workshop ahead of  the formal head count, calling on them to use the lessons learned for the success of the exercise.

The Federal Commissioner, National Population Commission, Kebbi state,  Dr. Haliru Bala Jikandaudu, had earlier commended Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu for supporting the commission at all times and hoped that this would continue.

He told the governor that the training programme was organized for 1,540 participants in three categories, 907 facilitators, 539 specialized workforce and 94 train-the-trainers while noting that  over 30,000 indigenes of Kebbi state would be engaged during the census exercise -Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
