AAIWF Commends Gov Seyi Makinde For Making ‘Thoughtful Decisions’, Says Olanike Adeyemo’s Appointment As SSG ‘Laudable’
The Association of Ancient Ibadan Warlords Families, AAIWF, has commended the governor of Oyo state, Engineer Seyi Makinde for making ‘thoughtful decisions’ and taking necessary steps to change the face of the pace setter state.
The association in a joint statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Monday night by its President, Mogaji Taofeek Mayeloye, Secretary, Mr. Kamoru Balogun Osungbekun and PRO, Hon Tunde Oluyedun cited the governor’s appointment of Professor Olanike Kudirat Adeyemo as Secretary to the State Government as one of his thoughtful decisions noting that she came well-recommended for her new job being a professor at one of the prestigious institutions in the country, the University of Ibadan ,where she had also served as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research, Innovation and Strategic Partnerships).
AAIWF also commended Governor Seyi Makinde for bringing onboard an egghead who would be playing an important role in his Omituntun 2.0 agenda.
Adeyemo, who was born on July 17, 1970, served as Head of COVID-19 Decontamination and Containment team, Oyo state COVID-19 Taskforce.
She received a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) degree, master’s degree in veterinary public health (MVPH) and Ph.D. degree in Veterinary Public Health from the University of Ibadan in 1994, 1998 and 2005 respectively.

This new appointment offers her another window to serve the country in a very unique way, and we pray God Almighty to give her good health and continue to guide her and Mr. Governor.
We are confident that Professor Olanike Kudirat Adeyemo would bring to bear; her vast knowledge, wealth of experience and exposure on her new assignment’ the association said.
AAIWF also asserted that Governor Seyi Makinde did excellently well in his first term, and this had made residents and citizens of Oyo state take a decision to re-elect him in March this year while expressing high hopes that he will ensure continuation of good governance.

Ancient Ibadan Warlords Families, AAIWF, comprises families whose forefathers participated in the Ibadan wars in the 18th century and who were warriors that fought in defence of Ibadan territories.
These warriors including Iba Oluyole, Lankanle, Maye, Akere Ogunmola ,Ibikunle, Ajayi Oyeshile Olugbode, Ojo do have their names featured in the ‘oriki Ibadan’ (cognomen of Ibadan people)
Their forefathers had come from different cities of Yoruba land to become warriors in Ibadan, they not only had settlements outside Ibadan but also had their palaces right in the heart of the city including Beere, Oja Oba, Oje, Ita Baale.
