Abuja Airport Incident: Force PRO Confirms Receipt Of Petition From NCAA, Says Investigation Underway
Although Wasiu Ayinde, a popular fuji musician, had tried to smooth the waters following the incident that occurred at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja on August 5, 2025, a disclosure made by the Force PRO, Mr Olumuyiwa Adejobi on Tuesday, has shown that there is trouble in the offing.
The incident in question had Wasiu Ayinde, who is popularly called K1, and the staff and crew of ValueJet as dramatis personae.
Team@orientatactualmags.com had earlier reported that the Minister of Aviation, Barrister Festus Keyamo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, in the preliminary findings he released on social media last week Thursday noted that the parties involved did not act well.
Mr Olumuyiwa Adejobi, a Deputy Commissioner of Police, disclosed in a statement he issued on Tuesday that the police have received a petition from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) in respect of the incident.

The complainant, he added, has alleged violation of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations, 2023.
Mr. Olumuyiwa Adejobi disclosed that the Inspector General of Police, Mr Kayode Egbetokun, has directed the Commissioner of Police, Airport Command, to launch investigation into the incident.
‘The Nigeria Police Force has received an official petition from NCAA over an alleged incident involving Mr. Wasiu Ayinde Marshal , who is popularly called KWAM 1. He has been accused of engaging in unruly conduct that allegedly obstructed the safe operation of an aircraft, in violation of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations, 2023, following a reported incident on August 5, 2025, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
In response, the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has directed the Commissioner of Police, Airport Command, to immediately commence a thorough investigation into the matter, to unravel the circumstances which led to the ugly incident and ensure that justice is served accordingly.
