Access Bank has reacted to the video posted on social media by Mr Vincent Otse, who is popularly called VeryDarkMan, in which he had alleged that N500m is missing from a customer’s deposit account.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the bank in a statement issued via its social media accounts on Sunday, not only described this assertion as untrue and incorrect but also asserted that unethical practices are not allowed or encouraged by the financial institution.
‘Our attention has been drawn to a video on social media wherein allegations of missing funds and unethical behaviour have been made against Access Bank Plc.
First and foremost, we wish to emphasize that the safety and security of our customers’ funds are core priorities that we take seriously. Secondly, Access Bank Pic does not engage in or condone any unethical behaviour. In the instant case, the allegations of missing funds in the bank are most untrue and baseless.
There is no N500m or any other fund or amount missing from the subject customer’s deposit account or any other customer’s deposit account with us.
We and other independent stakeholders in the banking industry have thoroughly investigated these allegations and independently arrived at the same conclusions.
