Adeoye Aribasoye Elected Ekiti Speaker, Bolaji Olagbaju Is New Deputy Speaker
Former Chairman, Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Ekiti state House of Assembly, Hon Adeoye Aribasoye , has been elected as new head of the state legislature.
Adeoye Aribasoye , a member of the APC, represents Ikole Constituency II, he emerged as Speaker of the state house of assembly on Tuesday.
Aribasoye, who had also served as Chief Whip , emerged as Speaker unopposed.
Hon Bolaji Olagbaju of Ado -Ekiti state Constituency II also emerged unopposed as Deputy Speaker .
Team@orientactualmags.com learned other principal officials of the newly convened Assembly are Majority Leader, Tolulope Ige (APC, Ekiti South West II); Minority Leader, Dele Ogunsakin (Social Democratic Party, Ekiti East Constituency 1); Oluyomi Ayorinde (APC, Ido Osi II); Chief Whip, Bosede Olowookers (APC, Efon); and Deputy Chief Whip, Maryam Ogunlade (APC, Emure).
‘I am fully prepared for the assignment given to me. Though it may be daunting, it is surmountable. We are fully prepared to make laws that will bring about development in our dear state. Laws that will bring about meaningful impact to the lives of the people of Ekiti State will be passed during our tenure’ the new Speaker submitted while giving his acceptance speech.
