Again, Kwankwaso Shows He’s Politically Relevant As NNPP Wins Kano Guber Election
Alhaji Musa Rabiu Kwankwaso, a former Minister for Defence, a one-time governor of Kano state, and a former senator, has once again, shown that he is politically relevant and has a strong ‘ political base’.
Despite being an APC-controlled state, Kwankwaso had in the presidential election held on 25 February 2023 won in 38 out of the 44 local governments in Kano state and he had 997,279 votes.
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu had 517,341 votes, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar got 131,716 votes while Mr Peter Obi had 28,513 votes .
His party, the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP has also won the governorship election held in the state on Saturday.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned the NNPP governorship candidate, Abba Kabir Yusuf was declared winner of the election by the Returning Officer, Prof. Ahmad Doko Ibrahim at the Kano Collation Centre, INEC headquarters , Kano.
Yusuf got over 100,000 votes above that of the APC candidate, Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna.
