Agricultural Devt: Kebbi Gov In Côte d’Ivoire To Seek AfDB Support

The governor of Kebbi state, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris, has sought the support and cooperation of the African Development Bank (AfDB) towards making the state an industrial hub in agriculture.

Governor Idris is seeking collaboration with the African Development Bank (AfDB) to harness the potential of the Special Agro-Industrialization Programme.

 The Kauran Gwandu, alongside five other  North-West governors have already arrived Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire in a bid to actualize the set target.

The governors  are Lawal Dare, Zamfara, Ahmed Aliyu, Sokoto, Umar Namadi Jigawa, Uba Sani, Kaduna, Dikko Radda, Katsina and Kabir Yusuf, Kano . 

The governors, while in Abidjan will explore the opportunities offered by the Agro-Industrial Processing Zones programme.

Governor Nasiru’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr. Yahaya Sarki noted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Saturday   that the governors have already met with the President of the African Development Bank, Dr Akinwumi Adesina and his team.

The Special Agro-Industrialisation Programme aims to achieve food self-sufficiency, create jobs and boost economic growth by processing raw agricultural commodities in areas with high potential.
