Ahmad El-Marzuq Not Forced To Resign As National Legal Adviser-APC NWC Member
Ahmad El-Marzuq ,who resigned from his position as APC National Legal Adviser last week, was not forced to do so, a member of the party’s National Working Committee, has said.
He described media reports claiming that he was forced to quit as ‘untrue’.
Media reports had claimed that the presidency and APC governors forced El-Marzuq to resign from his position on Thursday.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that APC Deputy National Organizing Secretary , Nze Chidi Duru, who commented on the issue, has asserted that there was no iota of truth in the said media report.
‘El-Marzuq resigned from the NWC and his resignation letter was accepted by the party. Forget what anybody might have told you that he was shut out of the NEC meeting. It is not true. El-Marzuq is a member of the body of life benchers. To be a life bencher in the legal profession is an important position.
If anybody says he attempted to force his way into the meeting, it can only be in the realm of conjecture. He will not do such a thing. It is speculation. The party is working together. There is no division’ he said-Team@orientactualmags.com
