Aisha Usman Takes Over As Kebbi Acting Head of Service

Governor Nasiru Idris , the Kauran Gwandu, has approved the appointment of Hajiya Aisha Usman as Acting Head of Civil Service of Kebbi State.

A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yahaya Sarki noted that Aisha was until getting her new role, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning .

Hajiya Aisha officially took over as Head of Service on Wednesday.

 Her immediate predecessor,  Safiyanu Garba Bena, had retired after reaching the mandatory retirement age of 60.

During the handover ceremony at the Cabinet Office, Birnin Kebbi, the outgoing Head of Service had noted that the appointment of Hajiya Aisha as the acting Head of Service was in line with the civil service rules and was approved by Governor Nasir Idris.

He also noted that Aisha was the most senior Permanent Secretary hence her appointment as acting Head of Service.

‘Today marks the end of my civil service career as I have reached the mandatory retirement age of 60. In line with the laws and regulations, I am handing over the office of the Head of Service to Hajiya Aisha Usman, who will serve in an acting capacity until a substantive appointment is made’ Safiyanu said. 

The former Head of Service  further extended his gratitude to Governor Idris for the opportunity to serve, and thanked civil servants and media practitioners in the state  for their support during his tenure.

In her remarks, the new Acting Head of Service, Hajiya Aisha Usman, expressed her gratitude for the trust placed in her. She expressed commitment  to building upon the legacy of her immediate predecessor and ensuring the continued progress of the civil service.

‘I sincerely thank Governor Nasir Idris for finding me worthy of this appointment. Though I have only a few months before my retirement, I am committed to working diligently and I respectfully seek the cooperation of all civil servants and the media practitioners.
