Akure Southwest Summit: Ad hominem Attack Allegations Untrue, Gov Adeleke Has Deep Respect For President Tinubu -Osun PDP

Osun State PDP on Friday described the ad hominem attack allegations raised against Governor Ademola Adeleke as untrue while noting that the governor has deep respect for President Bola Tinubu.

The party added that the story promoted by the spokesman for the state APC, Chief Kola Olabisi alleging that Governor Ademola Adeleke in his speech during the Southwest Summit held in Akure attacked President Bola Tinubu was a figment of his imagination.

The party in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com accused Chief Kola Olabisi of peddling falsehood against Governor Ademola Adeleke despite his years of association with the Adeleke family and inspite of being a beneficiary of their benevolence.

The statement noted that there was no point in time that Governor Adeleke or his representative attacked President Tinubu during the Akure summit and condemned the attempts to twist an open speech about Osun experience especially with respect to the handling of local government elections and funds.

‘Throughout the governor’s speech at the Akure event, there was never an attack on Mr President but details about what Osun State is passing through within the context of intergovernmental relations. The gathering was an assemblage of Yoruba leaders and the theme of the summit was ‘Relations Between the Center and the Subnational Levels’.

The presentation presented details of efforts of Osun State government to deepen relationship with the center and listed areas of positive outcomes and zones of complication. The speech was a factual presentation of what Osun is experiencing in the hands of some APC politicians who have on several instances vowed to rig the 2026 polls.

The speech went further to advocate protection and respect for the Constitution. It equally advised against maltreatment of Osun because of political considerations. We find it reprehensible for a supposed mouthpiece of the opposition to spread falsehood against the Adelekes, his former benefactors’ the party said.

The state PDP added that Governor Adeleke has demonstrated beyond reasonable doubts that he has deep respect for Mr President while noting that discussing issue of governance as it affects Osun State at a summit attended by respected leaders from the Southwest does not translate to an attack on the president

While urging the public to disregard what it called fake news, the party added that Governor Adeleke has never disparaged Mr President noting that this is not just because of mere governmental protocols, but rather ‘a deep-seated respect from a younger sibling of the same race with the president and as enshrined in the values of a Yoruba man’-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
