Alabi Abolore Returns To Gov AbdulRazaq’s Cabinet, Assigned To Solid Minerals Ministry

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara state on Monday swore in Dr Alabi Afeez Abolore as a member of the State Executive Council urging him to be patriotic, hardworking and prudent in his new office. 

‘That moves Engr. AbdulQuawiy Olododo to the Ministry of Works and Transport as the Honourable Commissioner — a responsibility he had juggled in acting capacity with his Solid Minerals portfolio. 

Dr Alabi, a native of Iponrin in Ilorin East local government, had earlier served the state as Commissioner for Tertiary Education until May 29, 2023’ Governor AbdulRazaq’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr Rafiu Ajakaye noted in a statement made available  to  Team@orientactualmags.com  while adding that he (Dr Abolore) has been assigned to  Ministry of Solid Minerals.

‘You are again joining this administration on the back of your track record, your commitment to excellent public service, and your people skills as a technocrat and a politician.

The government has a clear agenda to leave Kwara a lot better than it met it. We have made impressively positive differences across the state, and you are joining the cabinet to contribute your own bit to the progress so far made. 

Team work, due diligence, hard work, patriotism, and prudence are important when it comes to achieving greater efficiency and better outcomes in this important role. I trust you to do your best as you join the cabinet once again’  the statement quoted the governor  to have submitted  during the short ceremony  that was attended by the Speaker of the state  House of Assembly , Rt Hon. Yakubu Salihu Danladi, a handful of cabinet members, and some political leaders from Ilorin East local government.

At the event were Secretary to the State Government, Prof Mamman Saba Jibril; Chief of Staff to the governor ,Prince AbdulKadir Mahe; Senior Advisor and Counselor, Alhaji Sa’adu Salau; Non-Executive Director NNPCL, Dr. Ghali Alaya;  the governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Religion (Islam) ,Alhaji Ibrahim Danmegoro;  APC party Chairman for Ilorin East local government,  Comrade Habib Lawal; Alhaji Abdulrazhaq Jiddah; Baale Iponrin, Alhaji Ahmad Musa; Alhaji L’Aziz A.K Jimoh; Hajia Muinat Ibrahim; among other dignitaries and family members.

 Also speaking, Prof Jibril urged  the  new commissioner to be loyal, steadfast and committed as he takes up the new responsibility, adding that his pick was a reward for his service to the community and  support for the party.

Dr Alabi, in his remarks, thanked AbdulRazaq for again trusting him to serve the state, pledging not to let down his government and the people of the state.

‘I am standing here this evening to pledge that all the sterling qualities you have presented in your speech shall be achieved In Shaa Allaah. I am going to work in a way to ensure that all the unwavering commitment, dedication, and loyalty shall continue. I will not fail the administration’  he said.
