Alangua Of Ibagun Condemns Killing Of   2 Kinsmen By Cultists, Summons Meeting Of Family Heads

The Alangua of Ibagun, Okelele, Ilorin, Malam Sakariyau Ilufemiloye has condemned the invasion of the community by cultists.

Ilufemiloye lamented that two persons had gotten  killed in the community by suspected cultists this week.

The Alangua in a statement signed on his behalf by the Chairman of Ibagun Progressives Union (IPU), Alhaji Kuranga Omomeji Morogun which was made available to  Team@orientactualmags.com urged parents and guardians to enlighten their children and wards on the dangers of  getting  involved in cultism.

He also enjoined the heads of households  in the community to counsel their children against involvement in cultism while appealing to religious leaders to regularly  preach against youth involvement in cultism.

 The Alangua, who traced the unacceptable upsurge in cult activities in Ibagun-Okeleke community to the infiltration of the area by intruders,  said the community  had been noted for its peaceful nature.

As part of efforts to stem the tide of cultism in the area, the Alangua has summoned an emergency meeting of  family heads  in the community,  ditto the IPU security committee.

The state government had taken necessary steps in respect of   security response   and mobilized   security agents to the area  for surveillance purpose .
