Alleged Adultery: Suspended Jigawa Commissioner To Make First Court Appearance Today
Jigawa State Commissioner for Special Duties, Hon Auwalu Sankara, who was suspended from his position last week, would be making his first court appearance today.
Recall that he got into trouble last week following allegations that he engaged in the game that requires no ‘referee’ at a location in Kano State.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Director-General of Hisbah Commission , Kano State, Mr Abba Sufi, told journalists on Sunday that charges would be preferred against Sankara in Kano today.
Recall that Kano State Hisbah Board had through its Director General; Dr Abba Sufi alleged that Sankara was arrested at an uncompleted building ‘doing it’ with a married woman on Friday evening.
Jigawa State government announced the commissioner’s suspension on Saturday with Governor Umar Namadi noting that this was done to ensure that nothing is allowed to impede an investigation that will be launched into the allegations made against Sankara by the Kano State Hisbah.
In the meanwhile, Governor Umar Namadi, has also set up a five-member committee to investigate the allegations against the commissioner.
The committee has the Secretary to the State Government, Malam Bala Ibrahim, as Chairman; and Commissioners for Information, Mr Sagir Musa; Basic Education, Mr Lawal Danzomo and the Special Adviser on Security Matters, Mr Usman Muhammed, as members.
