Alleged Infidelity: Man Angrily Sets Fire To Wife During Argument In Anambra
A middle-aged man, Nwana, has reportedly set fire to his wife, Chioma Nwana in Eziezekwe village, Abagana, Njikoka Local Government, Anambra State.
Nwana and Chioma had engaged in a heated argument over alleged infidelity.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the incident happened on Tuesday evening while Chioma, who sustained burns, was rushed to the hospital but however died on Wednesday morning.
‘The woman returned home on Tuesday evening, and her husband accused her of infidelity. During the confrontation, he poured petrol on her and set her ablaze. She was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately passed away this morning’ one of their neighbors said.
It was gathered that the couple has six children, and they had been living together in the village before the sad incident.
Nwana voluntarily showed up at Abagana Divisional Police Station and told the police what he had done.
Spokesman for the state police command, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, said the suspect had since been taken into custody.
‘The suspect is in police custody. Unfortunately, the victim died this morning.
