Alleged Misuse Of Funds: Ex-Gov Yahaya Bello Remanded In Custody…Asked To Return To Court Dec 10
Justice Maryanne Aninih of the FCT High Court has ordered that the immediate past governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello should be remanded in Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) custody.
Recall that the former governor was arrested and taken into custody by the anti-graft agency on Tuesday.
Alhaji Yahaya Bello, and his co-defendants — Shuabu Oricha and Abdulsalam Hudu are facing fraud charges. They however on Wednesday pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them by the EFCC.
The anti-graft agency had alleged misuse of N110.4 billion belonging to Kogi State government.
Justice Maryanne Aninih later adjourned the matter until December 10 for ruling on bail application.
