Mrs. Favour’s sister lives with the couple and they had on different occasions disagreed over her continued stay at their residence.
Ekelediri Nwokekoro had complained about his sister-in-law being disrespectful and he had sent her packing, but the wife however opposed this, and it resulted in a heated argument.
Later, while he was sleeping, the woman had the husband soaked with ‘hot’ cooking oil and also hit him with a hammer .
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the police have since launched a manhunt for Mrs. Favour who is currently at large.
‘I told my wife’s younger sister to leave my house because of the way she started dressing.
Her behaviour and the way she occupies my matrimonial bed even when I was around were unacceptable. And no young guy will tolerate such a behavior. But my wife refused that the younger sister should leave my house.
I also saw my wife alone with one tall black guy at the shop I rented for her and not that he was there for business. He followed my wife and her sister here and there.
So, with all this, I gave her younger sister two thousand naira transport to go home so that I can actually understand what is going on in my house, but my wife got upset, while I went to bed to sleep, she had me wet with hot groundnut oil and , then started hitting me with a harmer’ he said.
Spokesperson for the state Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko , who has confirmed the incident, also noted that ‘investigation is ongoing’.
‘I can confirm the incident. The matter was reported at the Igwuruta Police State Station. The woman has fled but we are on her trail to ensure her arrest and make her face the law’ she said.
This has come barely two weeks after a middle-aged woman, Mrs. Tayelolu Solomon, used a pestle to kill her husband, Mr. Felix Solomon in the GRA area of Ondo town while he was sleeping.
