Announcement Of N10,000 Cash Assistance For Civil Servants, Students On Social Media ‘Not From Us’, Ignore It-Oyo Govt
Oyo state Government has urged residents and citizens of the state to ignore an online platform asking them to fill out application forms to benefit from its N10,000 cash assistance.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Governor Seyi Makinde’s Chief of Staff , Mr. Segun Ogunwuyi in a statement issued in Ibadan on Friday called the media report ‘fake news’.
Ogunwuyi, who is also the chairman of the 15-man Sustainable Action for Economic Recovery (SAfER), asked the general public, especially civil servants and students, to disregard what was stated in the online platform.
He added that his committee was already working hard on the state government’s relief packages to ease things for the people sequel to the removal of petrol subsidy and its concomitant hardships.
He said the various mitigation measures including provision of food parcels for 200,000 vulnerable households would mitigate the sufferings of the masses.
The support plan also includes 100,000 free healthcare insurance supports and N500 million for farmers to ensure food security, among others.
Ogunwumi cautioned the people of the state not to fall victim to the fake news that had asked them to submit their personal information online to be eligible for the purported N10,000 cash assistance- Team@orientactualmags.com
