Announcing Ibrahim Shekerau As Winner Of Senate Election ‘Wrong’, ‘Defective’.. We’ll Stop Him From Stealing Our Mandate – Kano NNPP

Kano state NNPP has submitted that the party will not allow Senator Ibrahim Shekerau to retain his parliament seat this year despite getting announced as winner of the Kano Central Senate election which was held on Saturday.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Senator Ibrahim Shekarau as winner of the senate election.
It will be recalled that Shekerau, a one-time governor of Kano state, had left the NNPP for the PDP after getting nominated as candidate for the senate election.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned the state NNPP Secretary, Hamisu Sadi Ali in a statement issued in Kano on Tuesday disclosed that the legal team of the party had already begun process to reclaim their mandate.
He expressed surprise that in spite of the court orders directing the commission to replace Shekarau’s name ,who had officially withdrawn his candidacy, and decamped from the party, INEC went ahead to declare Shekerau as winner of the senate election instead of Rufai Hanga.
‘It is evidentially clear that Ibrahim Shekarau has officially decamped from the New Nigeria Peoples Party to PDP and he has also withdrawn his candidacy through correspondence to INEC and the party in compliance with the Electoral Act 2022 (as amended),
We had conducted primary election within 14 days as stipulated by the Electoral Act after informing INEC of our decision to do so which produced Sen. Hanga as candidate for Kano Central Senate election.
We are however appealing to our teeming supporters, across the state to remain calm, as our legal team has commenced processes to reclaim our mandate’ the statement said-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
