APC bigwigs including the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, will hit the campaign trail in Ilorin , the Kwara state capital, tomorrow, Tuesday, January 17, 2023.
A cloud of uncertainty had hung over the planned campaign rally following the development recorded earlier in the day.
The Presidential Campaign Council has however noted that it gave approval for the campaign rally to hold as scheduled at 10 am tomorrow following reports that majority of APC members and supporters across the country had already arrived in Ilorin on Monday.
While commending all APC members and supporters for their total loyalty and commitment to the party by staying back in Ilorin to await further clarification, the Council assured them that all PCC members and other leaders of the party that were expected to attend the campaign rally were already on their way to the Kwara state capital .
The Local Organizing Committee in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by Alhaji Saadu Salahu assured all APC members and supporters that all arrangements ‘are intact to have a successful campaign rally’.
The committee urged those on their way to Ilorin to continue their trip while wishing all members across the country a safe journey and a successful campaign rally.
Sources told Team@orientactualmags.com that the APC presidential candidate will during his visit to Kwara state tomorrow use the opportunity to hold peace talks with some party stalwarts, who had been seen as somewhat ‘inactive’ and had been unconcerned when it comes to matters that have to do with the APC.
‘Tinubu will be meeting with some APC stalwarts to look into their grievances and find a way of achieving peace and ensuring that all APC members in the state present a common front and work together as one family ahead of the upcoming general election ‘ said a source.
Kwara state APC stalwarts expected to be ‘pacified’ include Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Muhammed, Alhaji LAK Jimoh and Alhaji Lukman Mustapha while it could not be confirmed if the Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, former Senator Gbemisola Saraki will be attending the meeting- Team@orientactualmags.com
