Osun state APC Chairman , Prince Gboyega Famodun, has commended the state Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC) headed by Otunba Segun Oladitan for ensuring that the local government council elections held in the state on Saturday was free, fair and credible.
Famodun in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by his Media Adviser, Mr Kola Olabisi on Sunday averred that the local government elections was successful by all standards.
He appreciated the commitment of the voters towards the successful conduct of the LG elections through their peaceful conduct .
Famodun noted that the peaceful conduct of the LG elections was an indication that the people of the state had yearned for the birth of elected leaders at the grassroots in the state.
The successful conduct of the local government council elections has also according to him succeeded in adding more feathers to the enviable performance score card of the Governor Oyetola-led administration.
The state APC chairman disclosed further that reports in respect of the elections from across the state were impressive.
He explained that the successful conduct of the elections had also helped to prove some cynics wrong, they had according to him said it wouldn’t be possible for the OSSIEC to hold the elections.
‘I commend the people of the state for their peaceful conduct during the local government council elections that was successfully held across the state yesterday.
The totality of the conduct of the elections was impressive of which its brighter showing was predicated on the co-operative and orderly voters’ he said-. Team@orientactualmags.com
