Osun state Government on Wednesday disclosed that the APC has been given the go-ahead to hold its presidential rally at the Osogbo City Stadium , Osogbo , the state capital, noting however that the party had denied the PDP such a privilege while in control of government in the state.
Governor Ademola Adeleke’s spokesman, Mr Olawale Rasheed in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Wednesday noted that the State Government approved the use of the stadium to manage the tense atmosphere in the state while directing security agencies to ensure maximum security at the stadium.
The statement added that the governor has also directed the state police command and the Department of State Services to ensure peace and tranquility across the state.
Governor Adeleke also urged Osun state indigenes and residents to remain peaceful and calm while at the same time warning against the idea of trying to create tension in the state.
Residents of the state were also urged to stay away from the venue of the APC presidential rally describing those expected to attend the event allegedly as promoters of violence .
The State Government urged residents to avoid the venue of the rally as ‘there are credible reports that the APC has imported thugs with MC Oluomo and Asiri Eniba coordinating the evil agenda’.
‘The APC has imported their agents of deaths. There is likelihood they may engage in fights and brawls. It is important for our people to stay safe, away from the assemblage of evil hands’ the statement alleged- Team@orientactualmags.com
