Apostle Suleiman: Top Police Officer Who Was Accused Of Cover- Up Summoned For Debriefing

The Divisional Police Officer, Auchi Division,  Ayodele Suleiman, a Chief Superintendent of Police, who was accused of a cover-up  with regard to the alleged killing of the suspect arrested for involvement in the Benin-Auchi Road ambush that left Apostle Johnson Suleiman having a close shave with death, is in the soup.

Apostle Suleiman is the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministry.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned Ayodele has been asked to report to the police headquarters in Benin immediately for debriefing .

The Command’s Deputy Public Relations Officer, Jennifer Iwegbu,  in a statement issued in Benin  on Saturday said the decision to withdraw Ayodele as  DPO was part of the measures to unravel the circumstances that led to the death of one of the surviving members of the gang that attacked  Suleiman’s convoy.

‘The outgoing CP now AIG Abutu Yaro has ordered the withdrawal of CSP Ayodele Suleiman, DPO Auchi for debriefing at the State Headquarters with immediate effect’ the statement said.

The statement urged members of the public to remain calm assuring that no stone would be left unturned in unearthing the circumstances surrounding the incident.

It will be recalled  that one of those who were believed to have been involved in the Benin-Auchi road ambush was  arrested by  the vigilantes and handed over to the police who  reportedly killed him.

Apostle Suleman had  in a tweet accused the police of trying to erase all evidence that could lead to the arrest of his attackers.

The pastor ,who had returned to the country from Tanzania along with his family on Friday, was on his back to Auchi when  gunmen attacked his convoy at about 5pm.

Seven persons, including two police officers  who were providing security for him  , two drivers and two female domestic staff  were killed during the road ambush-Team@orientactualmags.com
