Appreciation Award: Esther Ukachukwu Commends Former Gov Aminu Masari For Getting Off To A Good Start
A member of the Board of Trustees of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Mrs. Esther Onyinyechukwu Ukachukwu has commended the Chairman of the Board, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari for getting off to a good start and showing commitment to changing the face of tertiary education in the country through the agency.
Mrs. Esther Onyinyechukwu Ukachukwu, who is serving on the board of TETFUND as representative of South East geo-political zone, said this in a statement she issued to congratulate the former Katsina State governor on getting honoured with the ‘Award of Appreciation by the staff of the agency.
Recall that Rt. Hon. Aminu Bello Masari was honored with Award of Appreciation by the staff of the agency on Friday in recognition of his ‘purposeful and compassionate leadership’.
The event that took place at the TETFund headquarters, Abuja was part of the activities held to mark the 2024 Long Service and Employee of the Year Appreciation Ceremony.
The Executive Secretary of TETFund, Arch. Sunny Echono, was also celebrated for his commitment to the welfare of staff and dedication to work during the event.
Expressing confidence in the ability of the former Katsina State governor to ensure that the committee delivers on its mandate, she also asserted that appointing Alhaji Aminu Masari as head of the committee has brought benefits to the country while assuring that the tempo will be sustained .
‘With the giant strides made by our chairman and his unprecedented achievements as governor of Katsina State, it did not certainly come to many people as a surprise that he has started off on a good note.
He is a former Commissioner, a one-time governor, and a former Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Iam happy that His Excellency has justified the confidence reposed in him and it has become very clear that President Bola Tinubu indeed made a great choice.
Our board was inaugurated in August this year and here we are, this is December 2024, and the staff of the agency took a unanimous decision to honour him with ‘Award of Appreciation’. We welcome this development and we urge the TETFUND workers to continue to support the management team and all the stakeholders because we want everybody to be on the same page cognizant that tertiary education is key to fostering growth, reducing poverty, and boosting shared prosperity.
I congratulate the chairman and the Executive Secretary, you cannot buy ‘employee loyalty’, leaders can only earn ‘employee loyalty’ by being there for the workers, ensuring that they are motivated and providing an enabling and good working environment.
