Augustine , E – Phoenix Hotel CEO’s Son, Dies In Ilorin
Friends, family members and residents of Ilorin, the Kwara state capital, spoke in sepulchral tones and had mournful facial expressions as news of the death of Mr. Augustine Adeniyi Ojo spreads on Thursday night.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the news of his death gave birth to an outpouring of grief and people have been sending condolences to his father, Chief Adebisi Ojo , a jolly good fellow, and a popular businessman in Ilorin , Kwara state .
Chief Bisi Ojo , an octogenarian, who is an indigene of Okuku, Osun state, is the owner of E Phoenix group of hotels.
He served as Osun state Chairman of the defunct NRC and he was also the Chairman, Osun state Civil Service Commission during the Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola administration.
Mr. Augustine Adeniyi Ojo , who was until his death on Thursday night the one in charge of the hospitality outfits belonging to Chief Bisi Ojo , reportedly breathed his last at the Water View Hangout , GRA, Ilorin .
Chief Adebisi Ojo is also the owner of the Water View Hangout.
Mr. Augustine Adeniyi Ojo was said to have died under suspicious circumstances, but only sketchy information is available for now.
The police have also disclosed that his death is being investigated, Spokesman for the Kwara state police command, Mr. Ajayi Okasanmi, a Superintendent of Police, said this in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Friday.
‘A suspected culpable homicide case was reported at A Division Ilorin yesterday, September 28, 2023, at about 1000 hours by one Kehinde Olaseinde ‘m’ the supervisor of Water View Hotel, GRA Ilorin.
A team of detectives dispatched to the scene were later joined by the Commissioner of Police, CP Victor Olaiya, psc (+).
The deceased person, one Adeniyi Ojo ‘m’ the Managing Director of the hotel was found lying motionless on the bed in one of the rooms in the hotel.
The examination of the body shows no sign of physical violence. The body was taken to a hospital where he was confirmed dead, and was deposited at the mortuary of the General Hospital ,Surulere for an autopsy.
In the meanwhile a discreet investigation of the case has been ordered by the Commissioner of Police.
