Aviation Minister Gives Update On Abuja Airport Incident…K1 Now ‘Ambassador For Proper Airport Security Protocol’
The Federal Government has provided an update on the incident that happened at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on August 5, 2025, which had Wasiu Ayinde, a popular Fuji musician, and the staff and crew of ValueJet as dramatis personae.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that this was done through the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo on Wednesday.
Keyamo disclosed that the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority which had earlier announced the decision to put the popular musician on ‘no-fly list’ for 6 months will reduce this to one month and would work with K1 to promote awareness on acceptable conduct within the aviation space.
’The NCAA is to reduce his flight ban to a one-month period. FAAN will also work with the music star with a view to engaging him as an ambassador for proper airport security protocol going forward.
Having publicly demonstrated penitence, the NCAA is also to withdraw its criminal complaints against KWAM 1 earlier lodged with the police’ he said. The minister added that the decision to accept K1’s apology was sequel to appeals from well-meaning individuals while noting that the NCAA would withdraw its criminal complaints against the popular Fuji musician.
