Banditry: Panic-stricken Residents Voluntarily Vacate Homes Following Gunshots In Kwara Community, Calm Restored
Panic-stricken residents of Share, headquarters of Ifelodun local government, Kwara State left their homes and gathered on the streets where they remained for over two hours on Sunday night.
Some people had claimed that bandits were carrying out an attack on the town and the subsequent gunshots caused the residents to panic while rumours, and unverified alarms and assertions that continued ceaselessly got the disturbed residents more confused.
A resident of the town told Team@orientactualmags.com at 9.20 pm that they were still seeking refuge on major streets while those on the outskirts of Share had moved to the central part of the town, she also added that the gunshots came from the Sakama area near the local government secretariat on Oke-Ode/Share road.
The source however confirmed restoration of calm at 11 pm and added that residents have returned to their respective homes
Unconfirmed sources said bandits actually launched an attack on the community but were repelled by security forces in collaboration with forest guards and the vigilantes- Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
