The Banik Community Development Foundation (BCDF) held its 1446AH Ramadan lecture and empowerment programme in Iree, Osun State last week Thursday.
The event was attended by prominent Islamic clerics including the Chief of Imam of Offa, Sheikh Muhideen Salman while top politicians including Alhaji Shuaib Afolabi Oyedokun also graced the occasion.

Former Osun State Commissioner for Local government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Bayo Adeleke, who is popularly called Banik, is the founder of the foundation, and over 1,000 bags of rice were distributed to vulnerable groups in society during the event.

Prince Bayo Adeleke told Team@orientactualmags.com that while ‘spiritual exertion’ is expected to be prioritized during the holy month of Ramadan, being altruistic and giving to others is however important as it will help to enhance stronger social connections and build a more compassionate and just society.
‘Providing help, financial assistance, food parcels and other things to others is a way of appreciating God for His Mercies, it also helps to bridge some of the social, economic and political gaps.
Our Foundation has in our own little way supported our people and we will continue to do this by the Grace of God’ he said-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
