Bayo Adeleke Remembers Late Father’s Life And Legacy At Prayer Service Held To Mark His 32nd Death Anniversary In Iree… Basiru Ajibola, Omoworare, Mudathir Hussain, Remi Omowaiye Among Guests
Osun state APC bigwigs ,family friends, Islamic clerics and well-wishers on Monday, June 17, 2024 , gathered in honour of a community leader in Iree, Boripe local government, Alhaji Sumonu Adeleke.
Alhaji Sumonu Adeleke died in 1992, and top dignitaries attended the prayer service held to mark his 32nd death anniversary in Iree, on Monday.
One of the late Alhaji Sumonu Adeleke’s sons is Prince Bayo Adeleke, who served as Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs during the Gboyega Oyetola administration.



Dignitaries at the prayer service held at Prince Bayo Adeleke’s residence in Iree include APC National Secretary, Barrister Basiru Ajibola, Osun state APC Chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, Executive Director of Project Implementation , Federal Housing Authority, Hon Remi Omowaiye, Oluomo Sunday Akere , who is a member of the Governing Council of Yaba Technology, former rep Yinusa Amobi, former senator Mudathir Hussain, former senator Jide Omoworare, former Rep Ajibola Famurewa, Hon Jamiu Olawumi, Oba Raphael Oluponle, Oluawo Mosadek, Hon Thomas Ogungbamgbe, former Deputy Speaker of Osun state House of Assembly, Hon. Adegboye Akintunde,, Hon Amitolu Shittu, Hon Bosun Oyintiloye, the Obanla of Iresi, Chief Olawale Ajiboye, Hon Akin Adeyi, , Chief Kola Olabisi.


















One of the Islamic clerics, Mallam Opeyemi commended Prince Bayo Adeleke, who is popularly called Banik, for organizing the prayer service in honour of his late father and for sharing his favorite memories of late Alhaji Sumonu Adeleke , his late father, and his late mother, Mrs. Adeleke.


He also commended him for supporting the growth of Islam in the ancient town noting that he was the first person to introduce annual Ramadan lecture programme.

Prince Bayo Adeleke , who thanked the Islamic clerics in attendance for their love and prayers, urged them to sustain fervent prayers for the state while emphasizing the need for all to jointly work towards voting out Governor Ademola Adeleke in the upcoming 2026 gubernatorial election
