Benjamin Aluko, Simiat Abaru, Bode Ojomu Among Newly Elected SPSP Leaders
Professor Benjamin Aluko has emerged as the new president of the Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP) with Dr. Muhammad Kudu Abubakar elected as Vice President (North), Professor Chubuzor Nwobueze, Vice President (South) and Dr. John Tor Tsuwa as Secretary General.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the outgoing Secretary General, Dr Yusuf Olanrewaju Lateef noted that the new SPSP leaders were elected during the organization’s 19th International Conference and General Assembly while adding that the electoral committee was headed by Benjamin Ibeintoye.
The new leaders of SPSP also include Ms Simiat Abaru, Assistant Secretary General, Mr Bode Ojomu, Publicity Secretary, Dr. Shehu Hashim, Treasurer and Mrs Bimbo Alabi, Financial Secretary.
‘The newly elected leaders are expected to provide strategic direction and guidance to the SPSP as it continues to promote excellence in peace studies and practice in Nigeria and beyond.
The outgoing president, Mr Nathaniel Msen Awuapila, fspsp, on behalf of the outgoing NWC, has congratulated the incoming president, Professor B.A. Aluko, fspsp, and other members of his exco while assuring them that the hand-over process will be concluded no later than January 12, 2026, which will mark the 3 full years of the administration.
