Benue Gov Suspends Special Adviser Accused Of Engaging In Sex Exploitation
Governor Hyacinth Alia’s Special Adviser on Documentation, Research, and Planning, Dr. Mkor Aondona who was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Markurdi on Friday following allegations raised against her by some female tertiary students, has been suspended from his position.
Recall that he was accused of engaging in sextortion, sex exploitation and cyberbullying.
The suspended Special Adviser was also alleged to have secretly filmed the young girls in question while having sex and he had consequently used the sex videos to force them into sexual acts.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Mkor’s suspension was announced in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Tersoo Kula, on Sunday.
The suspension, Kula noted, is indefinite while adding that the decision is aimed at upholding integrity, discipline and accountability in public service.
Governor Alia added that any official of his administration ‘found wanting in matters of criminality or ethical misconduct will face the full weight of the law’ while noting that Aondona is expected to submit himself fully to the legal process and respond to the grave allegations raised against him.
