Benue Information Commissioner Abducted In Zaki-Biam
Benue state Commissioner of Information, Culture and Tourism, Matthew Abo, has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Abo was abducted at his residence in Zaki-Biam community , Ukum Local Government, Benue state on Sunday night. Abo is an indigene of Zaki-Biam.
This has come barely two months after getting sworn in as member of the Benue state Executive Council. Recall that Governor Hyacinth Alia had inaugurated his cabinet on August 29, 2023.
The attack was reportedly carried out by gunmen who rode on four motorcycles.
Governor Hyacinth Alia’s Chief Press Secretary , Kula Tersoo, who has confirmed the incident, added that necessary steps had since been taken by the governor.
‘Unfortunately, he (commissioner) was kidnapped in his country home in Ukum LGA, at about 8pm on, Sunday, September 24, 2023. He was in his home with his family, children and his people when the armed men came in. They forced him to join them on a bike.
