Benue : Police Give Update On Catholic Priest Who Reportedly Died From Lightning Strike

The Benue state Police Command has confirmed the death of a Catholic priest, Rev. Fr Faustinus Gundu while giving an update on information received in respect of how he died.
Rev. Fr Faustinus Gundu ,who was until his death on Thursday the Parish Priest of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Jootar, Ukum Local Government, Benue state, was reported to have died under suspicious circumstances.
While some said the Catholic priest was struck by lightning , others claimed that he collapsed and died.
‘In the process of rushing out to pick his towel outside, he slipped and fell onto the ground and hit his head on a hard surface.
As at the time of the incident, no one was available to help the priest, he was there until the rain subsided’ another source said.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Spokesperson for the state Police command, Catherine Anene, a Superintendent of Police, has confirmed the incident but noted that no categorical submission can be made on how he died.
