Blue Cap Movement Condemns Hostage Video Of Woro Women And Young Children, Says It’s Disgusting, Unacceptable
The disturbing video released by bandits at the weekend which showed children and women who were abducted in Woro, Kaiama local government, Kwara State has earned scorn and derision from a group, The Blue Cap Movement.
The group in a statement issued in Ilorin on Saturday and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by its Coordinator, Mr Abdulrasheed Seleke expressed sorrow and concern while describing the video of the young children and women filmed by their captors as disgusting and unacceptable.
The Blue Cap Movement condemned the degrading and inhuman treatment against the young children while expressing concern about the possible aftereffects of the psychological torture and exposure to violence.
Calling for their unconditional release, the Blue Cap Movement also emphasized the need to provide the abducted young children with reintegration support after regaining their freedom.
‘The video in question is disgusting and the exposure of the young children to such an inhuman treatment and emotional ill-treatment is condemnable.
The young children in captivity have been deprived of their liberty and also exposed to violence.
All well-meaning Nigerians must do the needful to ensure their release while we ensure that we empower them to heal, learn and reclaim their future after regaining their freedom’ the group added.
The group commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for the efforts to improve security situation in Kwara State while also lauding him for his multi-pronged and proactive response to the recent bandit attacks in the state.
