Blue Economy: Oyetola Discusses Strengthening Security At Nation’s Ports With NCS CG During Meeting In Abuja
As part of efforts to further strengthen security at the nation’s ports, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola, who is the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, held a crucial meeting with the Acting Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi in Abuja on Thursday.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Friday noted that Oyetola ,who played host to the NCS CG in his office, said the collaborative efforts would further help to optimize efficiency, enhance productivity and revenue generation.
Recall that the minister had recently disclosed his Ministry’s readiness to partner with the NCS with a view to decongesting the nation’s ports for smooth operations in order to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Oyetola had said this in Lagos, during his inspection tour of facilities of the departments and agencies under his Ministry.
The minister has also submitted that the meeting with the customs chief would help to secure the cooperation and support of the NCS.
