Boat Mishap: Gov Oborevwori Mourns The Death Of Junior Pope, Other Film Crew Members
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta state has expressed grief and also condoled with the families of the victims of the boat mishap recorded last week, which had claimed the lives of a Nollywood star, Junior Pope and other film crew members, describing the incident as unfortunate.
He said the State Government was agonized over the unfortunate and untimely passing of Junior Pope and others in the boat accident.
Governor Oborevwori in a statement issued in Asaba and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, offered his condolences to Nollywood fans and stakeholders on the passing of the film crew members describing it as an unfortunate incident.
He prayed God to grant the families, friends and associates of the victims the fortitude to bear the losses.
‘On behalf of my family, the government and people of Delta state, I commiserate with the Nollywood industry and families of those who lost their lives in the unfortunate boat mishap.
Perhaps, the deaths could have been avoided if the necessary safety measures had been adhered to.
