Bola Oyebamiji Commended As 2,000 Okada Riders, Tricycle Riders, Korope Drivers Get Petrol For Free In Osun
Okada riders, tricycle riders and korope drivers in Ikire, Irewole Local Government, Osun State jubilated as they got free petrol from the Managing Director, Chief Executive Officer of the National Inland Waterways Authority, NIWA, Mr Bola Oyebamiji on Tuesday.
Coordinator of the programme disclosed that about 2,000 people have benefitted from the ‘free petrol scheme’ since it was flagged off a few weeks ago.
Recall that Oyebamiji had recently flagged off the Ilerioluwa free petrol scheme targeting at least 15,000 beneficiaries across the 10 Local Governments in Osun West Senatorial District.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that this gesture of goodwill is part of efforts to cushion the adverse effects of the removal of petrol subsidy on the people of the district while it was also a way of giving back to society.
‘No fewer than 500 people benefitted tremendously from the same kind gesture last Thursday in Iwo shortly after the programme was flagged off in Ayedade Local Government.
