BoT Member Adamu Waziri Leaves PDP For ADC
The nation’s leading opposition party, the PDP, has lost a founding member and member of its Board of Trustees, Alhaji Adamu Waziri to the ADC.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Alhaji Waziri announced his decision to leave PDP for ADC at his Dogo Tebo Ward, Potiskum, Yobe State on Monday.
The former BoT member noted that the PDP no longer reflects the values of a credible opposition.
‘I was a member of PDP, and due to the exigencies of the moment and in the interest of the nation, I have decided to resign’ he submitted while urging his followers to join him in supporting a new political movement that can strengthen democracy and ensure better governance.
Waziri described the decision to leave PDP as difficult but necessary, saying the current leadership of the party has lost its way.
PDP Ward Chairman, Malam Muhammad Bomai, who accepted Waziri’s resignation with regret, also called him a pillar of the party.
‘Waziri has been an institution within the PDP, and we will feel his absence deeply’ he said.
