Bride Linked With Alleged Food Poisoning As Wedding Reception Guests, Groom Get Hospitalized In Jigawa

A bride has been reportedly linked with the alleged food poisoning incident at a wedding reception in Jahun Local Government, Jigawa State.

The incident has left the groom critically ill with one of the wedding guests dead.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Spokesman for the state Police Public command, Shi’isu Adam, has confirmed the incident while noting that an investigation is underway.

‘We received a report that the bride had tainted the food served at the wedding reception, leaving the groom critically ill.

Police have arrested two suspects in connection with the alleged food poisoning incident that occurred during the wedding ceremony in question’ Adam said.

The police spokesman also disclosed that the two suspects are the bride and another woman, who are currently undergoing custodial interrogation at the Criminal Investigation Department of the command.

‘We will do everything within our power to ensure that justice is served’ he added.

All the wedding attendants who ate the food have been discharged from the hospital, except one person who has given up the ghost.

‘The command is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, and we will provide more details as soon as possible.

For now, we can confirm that the incident occurred, and we are working tirelessly to unravel the facts. We urge the public to remain calm and assured that justice will be served’ he added.
