Late C.O Adebayo: Nurudeen Adeyemi Calls Him ‘Public Servant Of Rare Distinction’, Offers Condolences

ENACT Principal, Chief (Engr.) Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun, who represents North Central on the Board of TETFUND, has mourned the passing of Chief Cornelius Olatunji Adebayo , calling him ‘public servant of rare distinction’ while also describing the late octogenarian as one of the nation’s finest icons and statesmen.

In a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Wednesday, Chief Nurudeen Adeyemi, an aerospace engineer, also sent his condolences to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, the people of Kwara South, other Kwarans and entire Nigerians on the passing of the former minister and a one-time governor of Kwara State.

‘With a deep sense of loss but total submission to the will of Almighty God, I join His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (CON), and the good people of Kwara South, Kwara State, and Nigeria at large in mourning the passing of one of our finest icons and statesmen, His Excellency, Cornelius Olatunji Adebayo (CON), former governor of Kwara State and an elder statesman, who transited at the age of 84.

C.O. Adebayo, as he was popularly called, was a towering figure whose contribution to governance, democracy, and human capital development have left enduring imprints not only in Kwara State but across Nigeria.

As a scholar, administrator, and a public servant of rare distinction, he exemplified the highest values of integrity, sacrifice, and commitment to the common good.

His life was defined by patriotism, vision, and courage, especially during some of the most challenging periods in our national history. He stood firm for democratic ideals, mentored generations of leaders, and championed causes that advanced education, community development, and social justice, particularly in Kwara South where he hailed from.

On behalf of myself, my family, the ENACT family, and in my capacity as a member representing the North Central on the Board of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND), I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Adebayo family, the people of Oke-Onigbin , Isin local government, the Oro Kingdom, Irepodun Local Government, and all Nigerians who were touched by his legacy.

May the Almighty grant his noble soul eternal rest and comfort all those he has left behind’ he added-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
