Cabinet: Maryam Shetty Reacts To Withdrawal Of Her Nomination By President Tinubu, Says ‘It’s Zero Tension’
Maryam Shetty, who had her nomination withdrawn by President Bola Tinubu on Friday , has reacted to this development submitting however that it is ‘zero tension’.
It was learned that Maryam Shetty, who was at the National Assembly complex for confirmation hearing on Friday , was shocked to hear that her nomination has been withdrawn.
She had arrived at the NASS Complex at about 10.40am and had exchanged pleasantries with the people unaware of what laid in store for him.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned Maryam has not lost her composure despite the irksome development and in a series of tweets on Friday, she not only pledged continued loyalty to President Bola Tinubu but also called her replacement, Dr Mariya Mairiga Mahmud ‘a long-time friend’.
‘Just In. I was just informed now at today’s plenary session that President Bola Ahmad Tinubu has withdrawn my ministerial nomination and replaced me with Dr Mairiga Mahmud. I’m grateful and thankful for any decision from you My President! #Webelieve #zerotension’ she wrote.
‘I felicitate Dr Mariya Mairiga Mahmud. I thank the leader of our party HE Abdullahi Ganduje for his fatherly disposition and democratic stance that set the stage for a free and transparent contestation devoid of institutional bias, favoritism, or imposition of any kind’ she submitted in another tweet.
‘Dr Mariya Mairiga was my close friend and classmate since teenage age. We attended Kano Foundation School, and later Bayero University, Kano.
