Cabinet: President Tinubu Withdraws Maryam Shetty’s Nomination, Nominates Keyamo , Mariya Bunkure
President Bola Tinubu has sent a letter to the senate notifying the parliament of his intention to withdraw the nomination of Maryam Shetty.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Maryam from Kano state has been replaced with Dr Maigari Mahmud.
This was announced when Senate President Godswill Akpabio read out a letter sent by the President during a plenary session on Friday.
He has also nominated a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mr. Festus Keyamo as minister.
Keyamo , who is from Delta state, served under former president Muhammadu Buhari.
Maryam Shetty , who was born on April 8, 1979, is a political and social activist.
Dr. Mariya Mahmoud Bunkure, who served as Commissioner for Higher Education under Abdullahi Umar Ganduje , is Maryam’s replacement.
It was learned that Maryam Shetty, who was at the National Assembly complex for confirmation hearing on Friday , was shocked to hear that her nomination had been withdrawn.
She had arrived at the NASS Complex at about 10.40am and had exchanged pleasantries with the people-Team@orientactualmags.com
