Capacity Building: 5-Day Training Programme Held For NDDC Staff In Port Harcourt As Samuel Ogbuku Urges Vigilance

The Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, has organized a 5-day training programme for its staff while noting that this was in line with the Commission’s commitment to continuing capacity building efforts.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Tuesday night noted that a series of training sessions lasted a period of five days from April 11 to April 13, 2023 , for the cadres in Grade Levels 1-14 while that of the Senior Management staff was held between April 18 and April 19 ,2023.
It had as its theme ‘Policy Process and Security Management in the Dynamic World’.

NDDC Managing Director, Dr Samuel Ogbuku, who was represented by the Executive Director of Finance and Administration, retired Major General Charles Airhiavbere, while giving his speech , noted that it had become necessary to develop capacity of the commission’s workforce to carry out its mandate effectively in the environment we are currently in.
He added that it is also important for all of them to be abreast of security challenges and be vigilant.
The facilitator and consultant, Dr Abdulwahab Ademola, also said three key papers were delivered: Policy Formation, Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation; Conflict Management Mechanisms and Security Management while participants in the training included the Director of Human Resources, Director of Audit and Assistant Directors in the training department, conflict management department and security personnel at the commission.
The statement also noted that participants expressed delight that they had the opportunity to attend the training and called for a retreat where issues that were touched on during the training could be examined in order to update some policy areas that seem outdated-Team@orientactualmags.com
