‘Chorus Of Congratulations’ As Kwara Deputy Gov, CP Odama, Traditional Rulers, Others Gather In Honour Of KAM Holding CEO In Ilorin

Dignitaries including  top business men and women, traditional rulers and  heads of security agencies attended the reception held by the Yusuf family in honour of the Chairman/CEO of KAM Holding , Alhaji Kamorudeen Yusuf in Ilorin, Kwara state capital on Sunday.

KAM Holding is the only 100% indigenous steel and allied manufacturing company in Nigeria and the company produces a wide range of products including Nails, Binding Wire, Wire Mesh, Roofing Sheet, and Stone Coated Roofing Tile.

Alhaji Kamorudeen Yusuf , an indigene of Iwo –Isin , Isin local government, Kwara state,, was among  450 Nigerians and non-Nigerians, that received national honours at the investiture ceremony presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja  last week.

Alhaji Kamorudeen Yusuf  had received the Member of the Order of Niger , MON during the investiture ceremony and Sunday, 16 October 2022 was also his birthday.

The get-together was therefore held to celebrate his birthday and  the national honour award and it was a chorus of congratulations all the way.

The get-together was attended by  dignitaries including Kwara state Deputy Governor, Mr Kayode Alabi, the state police commissioner, Mr Paul Odama, representative of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq,  Mr Femi Sanni , representative of His Eminence, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim SuluGambari, Alhaji  Moddibo Zulu Gambari , representative of the state  Head of Service, Oluwole Modupe , Mr  Ibrahim Muhammed, the Emir of Psaragi, Alhaji Aliyu Abdulahi ,  the Olusin of Ijara-Isin, Oba Ajibola Ademola Julius , top businesswoman and popular female celebrity, Chief Mrs. Jumoke Harb,  popular legal practitioner, Mr Adebayo Adelodun SAN,  Talba of Ebira land, Alhaji Hamzah, General Manager of Kwara State Social Investment Programmes (KWASSIPs) Mr Abdul Qawiyy Olododo, wife of the Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi, Queen  Mistura Gbadamosi,  CEO of TASCON Nig Ltd,  Alhaji  Akeem Salahudeen , Owalobbo of Obbo-Ile, Oba Adebayo Rufus Olusegun  , Afaaji of Faaji, Odo-Otin local government, Osun state, Oba Moshood Olaleke and Dr Joel Adesokan.

Alhaji Sulaiman Aremu aka Ajobiewe, Kwara state  cultural troupe, MC Desktop and others entertained guests at the event held at the GRA ,Ilorin residence of the top industrialist.

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq later visited the  residence of the KAM Holding CEO to felicitate   him and his family.

Alhaji Kamorudeen’s wife, Erelu Bola Mariam Iyadunni Yusuf, who  gave the welcome  speech on behalf of the Yusuf family,  called the KAM Holding CEO  ‘a great icon’, ‘an excellent entrepreneur’,  and a ‘distinguished Nigerian’.

Noting that her husband   had received the MON  just 5 days to his birthday , she called this  a memorable occasion  adding that the national  honours was  for  the entire KAM Holding workers , the Yusuf  family and all Kwarans.

 Alhaji Yusuf  had according to her  demonstrated his commitment to promoting human welfare and had shown concern for the well-being of others while also creating job opportunities  for the young people .

Giving his goodwill message, the Deputy Governor, Mr Kayode Alabi said Alhaji Kamorudeen Yusuf had done Kwara state proud all the way.

 ‘We are proud of you in Kwara state, you have done us proud and you will do more for us . On behalf of  the government and people of Kwara state, we  wish you a happy birthday and we  congratulate you  for  being a national honour award recipient’ he said

Also speaking,  Alhaji Adebayo  Adelodun, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, said  the national honour award received by Alhaji Kamorudeen Yusuf was well-deserved.

‘Rolling back the years and how far he has gone and what he has  achieved, he is  no doubt qualified to be celebrated. He has achieved greatness by a dint of hard work, and resilience and through the support of a resourceful woman’ he said.

Adelodun said  Yusuf had established KAM Holding and not only succeeded in making it become a household name in the country but  had also ensured that it has continued to grow in leaps and bounds.
