Coca-Cola Recalls Coke, Fanta, Other Products… Cites Safety Concerns

Coca-Cola, a company that has its headquarters in Atlanta, has recalled its drinks including fanta and coke in some countries citing safety concerns.
The affected products contain ‘higher levels’ of a chemical called chlorate.
It was noted however that ‘Independent expert analysis concludes that any associated risk for consumers is very low’.
The firm disclosed in a statement that the main countries where the products were recalled are Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands while noting that five product lines had been shipped to Britain, and they had already been sold.
The products in question are Coke, Fanta, Sprite, Tropico and Minute Maid brands.
Chlorate can be produced when chlorine-based disinfectants are used in water treatment and food processing.
Coca-Cola said no complaints has been received from consumers in Great Britain, while noting that it has already ‘alerted the authorities on this matter and will continue to collaborate with them’.
The company added that ‘a very small number of imported cans’ of Appletiser, Coca-Cola Original Taste, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, Diet Coke and Sprite Zero with production codes from 328 GE to 338 GE were affected –Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
