Confectioner’s 2- Month-Old Baby Stolen By ‘Undocumented’ Apprentice At Graduation Ceremony In Ilorin
A 2-month-old baby boy, Usman Idris, has been stolen in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital, by a young woman, whose identity is yet to be established.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the incident was recorded at about 3:00 pm on Saturday during the graduation ceremony held by a private school in the Deeper Life area of Sawmill, Ilọrin.
The missing baby’s mother, Sekinah , who is also called Iya Mujidat by friends and neigbours, has disclosed that the young woman had actually begun training as an apprentice two weeks ago.
Sekinah, a confectioner, had entrusted the woman with the custody of Usman whilst joining his sibling, who was one of the graduands, to receive his certificate.
Sekinah, who knows little or nothing about the apprentice currently at large, described the suspect as a tall and fair complexion woman adding that she wore a purple Ankara with a black headscarf when she was last seen.
’She came to me about two weeks ago that she wanted to learn how to make snacks. I accepted her but I don’t know any of her family members or where she stays and I don’t even have her phone number.
We went to the graduation ceremony together and she offered to help me carry the baby when I accompanied the elder brother to collect his certificate. That was the last we saw of her. We have reported the case at ‘A’ Division police station in Surulere, Ilọrin but yet to hear from them’ the distraught mother added.
‘The story has been confirmed, efforts are ongoing to arrest the mystery lady and ensure the recovery of the baby’ spokesman for the Kwara state police command, Mr. Ajayi Okasanmi, a Superintendent of Police, also said on Sunday-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
